You realise Shweppes was bought by Asahi ages ago right?

This looks scary at first, but it’s not the whole story. For example, Dole is it’s own company. It has a line of juices manufacturer by Tropicana, but all of it’s fruit is under Dole Food Company, Inc. So, while Dole pays Pepsico for manufacturing, Pepsico doesn’t own or control the company. They are simply a vendor of Dole. A lot of larger companies package for smaller independently owned companies like that. Personally, I think that’s nice, since it gives the smaller companies a better chance. Coca-Cola and Pepsi both bottled Dr. Pepper and 7UP for years, until they became their own bottling company in 2008. Which you have wrong on here… Dr. Pepper/7UP, Inc is it’s own company. It haven’t been part of
Cadbury or Kraft since they demerged. They own Motts, RC, and a few other
products listed under Kraft. Plus, you left off Con-Agra (Peter Pan, Hunts, Healthy Choice, etc…), Kimberly-Clark (Huggies, Scott’s, Viva, etc…), Campbell’s (Pace, Pepperidge Farm, Prego, etc…) and quite a few others. And not like owning or having a part in all these brands helped them dominate the charts on profits. P&G, Coca-Cola, Johnson & Johnson, & Kellogg’s weren’t even among the Top 10 Highest Grossing Grocery Manufacturers for 2011. They were beat out by companies like Tyson, Anheuser-Busch, JBS USA, Deans, and Smithfield Foods. Those aren’t listed here either. P&G was actually #36 among the top 100, so there’s quite a few choices missing form this chart.

I have to admit: this is not my diagram. But it is a diagram that kind of helps understand how globalized brands are structured. I agree with you in the details. But the macro-perspective of this graphic is right.

Recently I was really, really low on cash and debts were eating me from all sides! That was UNTIL I decided to make money.. on the internet. I went to surveymoneymaker dot net, and started filling in surveys for cash, and surely I’ve been far more able to pay my bills!! I’m so glad, I did this! With all the financial stress these years, I really hope all of you will give it a chance. – balu
