Actually I love this easyness. On the other hand, I did not miss anything in the 1980s. Instead, I was a pretty happy kid. I read that a kid in Germany in 1980 had a tactical reach (when playing outside) of about 15 miles. Now it is 1.

Gotta love how technology has simplified all of our lives huh.

I know. I'm torn, as a marketing professional and a consumer, I love what technology has done for us. The options and channels of communication are so exciting and have amazing potential.

But as a human being I can see how our technology has added a layer of complexity that's worked, in some instances, against us. Making it easier for some to isolate from face-to-face conversations, time with friends, family, neighbors and even the normal rhythms of life.

I wonder when people look back in a century if they're going to marvel at how divided and distracted we were as a people. Who knows. The love, hate relationship goes on!
